Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2.23 million Honda and Acura Vehicles are affected in the Takata Airbag Inflators Recall.

2010-2014 Honda Insight
2011-2015 Honda CR-Z

Vehicle Problem: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Vehicle Fix: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the inflator, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Nalley Honda customer service at 888-729-6285. Honda's numbers for this recall are JX2, JX3 and JX4. Please contact Nalley Honda for parts availability.

What is a VIN? A car's vehicle identification number (VIN) is a specific code that identifies each automobile. Each VIN is unique to the automotive, with no two vehicles with the same VIN. A VIN displays specific information about the vehicle such as features, specifications and manufacturer, such as Honda. The VIN is also used to track recalls, registrations, insurance coverages, claims and thefts. Typically, cars with VINs prior to 1981 are limited in their information.

Where can I find my VIN? The VIN can be found by looking at the dashboard near the driver's side of the car. If you still cannot find your VIN, you can locate it by opening up the driver's side door and finding the VIN on the door post (where the door shuts).
